Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe signed with WWE in 2015 and debuted on the NXT brand. He became a two-time NXT Champion before moving on to the main roster.

He became a major player on Raw upon his debut on the red brand, getting quickly involved in the Universal Title picture. He had two chances to win the belt at PPV events in Summer 2017 before injuries slowed down his momentum.

Multiple brand switches and injuries kept Joe from winning world titles, but he has captured the United States Championship twice. While injured, Joe spent time in the commentary booth.

In April 2021, Joe was released from WWE. He resigned with the company a few months later and returned to NXT as the enforcer for GM William Regal. Joe returned to active competition shortly after and defeated Karrion Kross to win his third NXT Championship. Joe vacated the title due to injury a few weeks later.
