Portal Retrograde: The Board Game

Object of the Game
Use your portal gun to place portals in your opponents path and teleport them backwards to gain the lead in the race to the end tile! Like to play it risky? Give up your turn to gain an extra portal gun charge!
Components

Board
Blue pawn
Red pawn
1 deck of Blue portals
1 deck of Red portals
2 dice

Setup

Player 1 gets blue pawn and blue deck.
Player 2 gets red pawn and red deck.
Place each pawn at their respective starting tile.

Game Start and Turn Order
Player 1 goes first.
Each player rolls the die once to determine who gets player 1. The player with the highest roll is player 1.

Sequence of Play

Phase 1 Movement
Step 1: Roll the movement die
Step 2: Move your pawn according to the roll

OR:

Give up your (movement) turn for an extra portal charge and shoot two portals instead of one.

Phase 2 Shooting a portal
Step 1: Choose a tile 1-6 tiles ahead of your opponent's pawn
Step 2: Place a portal entrance on that tile
Step 3: Roll the portal die
Step 4: place a portal exit behind the portal opening with the amount of tiles according to the roll

Phase 3 Pawn placed on a portal entrance?
Step 1: Teleport back to portal exit
Step 2: Close (remove) portal.

End of Game / How to Win
Game concludes once a pawn reaches the end tile.
