My cup runneth over.


The Dented Chalice is a trinket that provides a very small damage and tears upgrade at first, however carrying it to the next floor will slightly fill it - increasing its stat bonuses.

The fuller the chalice is, the higher the stat bonuses it grants (up to +1.5 dmg and +1 tears)! But be careful: dropping the chalice will spill some of its contents, pouring away a floor's worth of blood but spawning a heart pickup.

The trinket will drop half a soul heart when spilled if you can't hold red hearts! Its stats bonuses are doubled when holding Mom's Box or when the trinket is golden. The golden variant even drops a gold heart when spilled! Smelting the chalice will lock its stats, so be sure to smelt once it's brimming with blood.

Maybe add a drawback to it, like adding a broken heart when you go to the next floor when its brimming.

maybe nerf the brimming chalice a bit? i feel like being as good as cancer and a bit worse than curved horn combined

@Peenu that's a really cool idea, I especially love the idea of being able to use the chalice as a club when it's empty!!

I really like your mod and think you should try to make a whole character revolving around a chalice. For example, the more you dont get hit the more your stats go up, but as you do they go down, but you can also drop health when you get hit so its not too punishing. If you fill it up really high, you can spill the whole cup onto an enemy or boss and it would deal massive damage and maybe inflict some status effect. Finally, it would be cool if when you had it empty you could use it like forgottens club. Anyways this is a super cool mod and I really like it :)
