Just a simple large grid tunnel miner.


I kept this ship as simple as possible; it has all the necessities, but no extra shenanigans. It runs on hydrogen only and while it can technically fly on planets empty, it's only useful as a miner in space and maybe on the moons if you don't fill it up too much. I decided not to put a refinery in it, cause it's just too slow to be practical. Instead I added a jump drive as well as a basic assembler and refinery for emergencies. It can drill holes big enough to fit through with left click drill mode, but it can only do tight turns within the rock if you use the right click mode. It's not set up with PAM, but it has all the necessary blocks.
The functional design for this ship is inspired by this one.

You should put a Medical Room on it, since it's energy free, and the Survival Kit is consumming a lot.

Excellent design, both fashion-wise and mechanically. One thing I'll say tho, I made a group to shut off the 8 backwards thrusters when mining. I found out the hard way that the jump drive is very sensitive to the slightest collision, so I'd rather back up slowly. Thank you for yet another great build.

I love this. I have built a few about this size with jump drive. Nothing that looks this good. The one nice thing about a large refinery is it can eat stone as fast as you mine it. I normally have mine set up to refine nothing but stone. The smaller ones work as well just slower.

Very nice and detailed. Unfortunately my big asteroid eater is functionally good but just doesn't have good detail.

I finished mine yesterday and tested it before I saw yours :) Since I use it on multiplayer we have different set of rules and Blocks so this one would not work there but I really love the design and how parts are used out of context to create intricate detail work. Looks spectacular.

Another magnificent build from one of my favorite Engineers. Thumbs Up.
