Very ty sir, for your work.

The melting point matters if you are building near something hot, like a volcano or rocket exhaust. Thermal conductivity and specific heat capacity matter for heat management. Some materials are better for conducting heat from place to place (high TC), some are better for insulation (low TC, low SHC), and some are better for heat storage and buffering (high SHC).

wait does it really matter what material I use to build? I thought it was just a matter of "decorum"

I mean their thermal conductivity. Cobalt costs 200 - but with the help of your mod, it shows 100

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but the availability number isn't done by this mod, and it subtracts resources that are already allocated to construction tasks.

Incorrect display
of cobalt - 100. There are 200 in the game

There is Thermal Tooltips mod, which is actually usefull.

I shows equal numbers for insulated, radiating and normal pipes/vents/tiles.
Is that by design?

Mod has two issues with insulation tiles.
1) In the vanilla properties tab, conductivity is usually listed at the top. In this mod, it shows it at the bottom on the build menu. This needs to be fixed for consistency.
2) This mod shifts the decimal place in the build menu, and neither of these inconsistencies are appreciated. I'd rather it look the same as it does on the Properties menu.

Hmm... i don't use that one because it's known to cause strange bugs (like this one i guess), and i can't easily test because it's not on Steam. But i checked the code for MSP and it's already doing things the most compatible way i can (just tacking a "Postfix" on the end of the method) so it doesn't look like there's anything i can to do increase compatibility.

So yeah let me know what they say. And thanks for tracking it down! If they can't or won't fix it i'll have to add a note about incompatibility.
