EVA Pod "Seal Pup"

"Seal Pup" is a general purpose mobility enhancement unit for EVA activities, such as space station / spacecraft assembly & maintenance, and surface operation on low-g bodies (hopping rover + surface-orbit shuttle).

Pure stock, no mods, no DLCs. 45 parts, root part is the drone core.

Press [R] and [T], use IJKLHN, plus WASDQE for flight. [Capslock] is recommended. Only use in space or on low-g bodies, such as Minmus and Gilly. Downward thrust (K) is stronger than in other directions. Limited probe control is possible near signal senders.

- Has ~1km/s dV with 2 Kerbals. Can land on Minmus from orbit, fly around for a while, and return to orbit with ease.
- Compact design (1.4 x 1.7 x 1.9m, ~1t) for easy transport.
- Cargo Storage Unit for carrying small stuff.
- Can act as small tug for building small stations.
- Decently detailed "cockpit" with protection cage.

- It’s a side project for my remastered Tiber station (WIP), but I think it’s fun enough for a separate upload.
- As such, it’s not originally designed for practical surface operations (other than just fly around and have fun), so it has no science stuff. But it totally has the potential to become a biome-jumping science rover. An ion-powered expedition rover is also an attractive thing to build. I’m considering expanding its family with all these variants in future.
- The "roll cage" is meant to provide collision protection and support structure for lights and RCS modules (required at that position for balancing). It also provides places to hold onto during EVA, and act as holder for small stuff. Most importantly, it feels better to be somehow protected rather than being fully exposed in space.
- I surface-attach EVA cargo parts with the help of EditorExtensionsRedux mod (pick a part and press T when you’ve installed that mod).
- I find the default thumbnail particularly ugly for this craft, so it's my first time to use a custom thumbnail. Tutorial: How to upload custom thumbnails by Chonguska.
