I also go to a place marked as a temperate forest with poplar tree grove on the equatorial part of the planet, and there wasn't a single standing tree (temperature were around -3°C).
Could you look into what is causing these, please ? It is a bit damageable with Odyssey as it sucks the fun out of moving around the map
The latter might be a bit harder to manage (or far more unrealistic and outside the scope of changes), but maybe there could be a slider for "climate change intensity" that affects the temperature equilibrium that climate change moves towards? E.g. instead of +/-80C for the equilibrium, you could set it to +/-10C, 20C, et cetera. That way, you only get the Frostpunk-esque freezes or searing planet-wide deserts after successive climate change events.
