The Unknown Marshlands is made somehow by request as many players are looking for nice flat maps, where it is easy to build without having to landscape. The landscape is made from islands so you can still make the map look awesome.
Many shipping routes and perfect map for a ferry network or to create small fishermen villages on islands.
Train and highway network pass true the start square, also the 4 resources are available in the start square as many players like to play the game starting with one start square.
Strong water movements on both sides in the start square so you can use one side for to pomp fresh water and the other side for the sewage,

I kept the tree count lower then 250K so you don't need any mods related to trees such as unlimited tree mods.

I also didn't use any mods for the roads to make them look prettier. I try to limit the mods as much as possible so most players can build on my maps.

However I use procedural object mod for some rocks and builds to make the map look unique.

****** IMPORTANT NOTICE *******
I Advice to not mess with the water level as the map is very flat and I created the map in a way that the ground level is only a few meter higher than the sea level, that's also why it is named Marshlands.
That is also why it a possibility that if you load the map for the first time some parts can be flooded. Do not panic, do not restart, just wait a few minutes and make some coffee or explore the the map till the water level stabilize.
