Thermoelectric Coolers

描述
Summary
Adds a thermoelectric cooler ("TEC") and thermoelectric generator ("TEG") to the game.
The TEC can move heat from one side to the other by consuming power.
The TEG can convert heat on either side into energy.

Details
The buildings are fully configurable in the mod Options menu.
The TEC and TEG buildings require the Low Resistance Conductors research.

The tile that the building occupies is insulated, but not as good as an insulated tile.

The TEC can sustain a temperature difference up to 70 °K while powered.
The building moves heat from the cell with the flat plate to the cell with the tall fins at a linear rate until the maximum temperature difference is reached.

The building will consume power even if the maximum temperature difference is reached, so make sure you're enabling it only when it is needed!

The TEG generates its maximum amount of energy when the temperature difference is at least 70 °K.

Both buildings also will not operate when their coldest side is below 50 °K.

Heya Romen, love your mods, but I was wondering if it's intentional that hevi watt wires cannot be run through the TEG? I've used conductive wire and a transformer for the time being to connect the generators to my main power grid, but I imagined they'd be similar to the solid tiles at the base of solar panels.

Thanks again for making this awesome mod, the Thermo Electric Generators are great.

@n3mes1s, Thermo-electric coolers use electricity to create the peltier effect, which moves heat. The "uses electricity" part shouldn't be discounted; The device literally heats up as it tries to move heat due to resistance in the semi-conductors. This is simulated in my mod by making the building output extra heat on the hot side which is proportional to the wattage used. This mod has options to re-balance it however you like, so automating it should be possible with less aggressive tuning.

I dont understand the use of this mod. Im trying to transfer heat from the exterior to an insulated room and even if the temp difference is just a couple of degress the tec tile will keep pumping heat until the temp in the room is extremely high, like i have to disable the building because its like a magma volcano. Tried with automation grid with thermo sensor and but its no use. The heat transfers so fast that makes automation grids useless.

@RadLad, TEGs in real life "deletes" heat as it moves through the semiconductors and converts that energy into electricity. However, the way the game handles power is not realistic enough to "complete the circuit". These TEGs work like generators and delete the heat as long as they're hooked up to a wire, but there doesn't have to be any electric load to delete heat, which is the "broken" OP part.

Honestly, this is the best mod on the workshop.

I was just wondering: I made a block around a cool slush geyser with the teg tiles around it. The outer layer was left exposed to the air, and the inner part has a metal tile layer that these teg tiles are adjacent too (touching). Im deleting a lot of heat, is this expected?

eu usei e nao gostei, nem refriou nada, mesmo colocando muitos.

Great mod! Does the TEG replace your Stirling Engine mod completely or is there a difference that makes both worth having? Is one more efficient/effective than the other?

TEG needs more explanation. How much max heat deleted per second? How much energy it generates at max temperature difference?
