Symphony

Originally developed as a contingency design, the Symphony is a Textonian thrustercraft made to be able to battle large airborne threats from a distance. Utilizing high top-speeds, missile distraction sticks, and a LAMS as its main defense against missiles and subsonic projectiles, it is a force to be reckoned with, even to the likes of the Gray Talons.

The Symphony's story is a troubled one. Its outer hull alone went overbudget a countless number of times, and after adding jets to enable flight, it was far less fuel efficient than the top military brass were anticipating. They eventually came to the agreement that such a large flying machine that guzzled more fuel than most of their ships was not a healthy investment. However, following a stroke of luck in the development of laser systems, in part thanks to the blunder of the Lightning Hoods and Onyx Watch, Textonian engineers were able to reuse components looted from their ships to make stronger laser systems. The Symphony's hull had more than enough free space to fit a sizable laser anti-munition system inside, after changing out its original large steam engine in favor of a medium one. It is the brainchild of months of tinkering, several sleepless nights, and a worrying transmission coming from Foxmere hinting at the return of the Scarlet Dawn...

OOC: This one's been looong overdue. I've hinted at it, but I'm tired of hiding it anymore. This is the Symphony. I originally intended it to be a Singularity hunter, but it's way out of its league. That doesn't mean it's a piece of crap, though! With it, I was able to down a number of Gray Talons airships and thrustercraft, and earlier tests proved that certain Scarlet Dawn craft (of equal or lesser value) can be destroyed with enough shells and luck.
