pretty sure that might just be Steam's issue, sometimes it doesn't let you invite your friends for whatever reason

for my friends they mostly were able to join, so it should work for you and the others as well.

So what happened was i got the map, and it wouldnt let me friends join my multiplayer servers until i uninstalled it.
