CDFS Marchioness Clementine

When the obsolescence of the pre-dreadnought left Pydrinck with a surplus of 211mm guns, Chaplain Automotives was again contracted to find a use for them, resulting in the Marchioness Clementine class of heavy cruiser. Sporting fourteen main guns in seven twin turrets, the class boasts an impressively heavy broadside for its size, without compromising on armour. Large numbers of the ships can be found patrolling the waters around the mainland and along colonial trade routes, the ships also being designed with an impressive range at cruising speed. Despite its admirable balance of firepower, protection, and manoeuvrability, the class features a number of flaws in their ammo storage locations and designs, resulting in frequent chain detonations of magazines should the ship's armour be penetrated by enemy fire, earning the unforunate nickname of "700-Foot Firecrackers".
