Greetings! This mod contains the building of the Latvian Academy of Sciences from Riga (Latvia). It is made in the "Baltic style", which I really like, because I really liked the architectural style of the Baltic cities and most likely this is not the last building that I make from the Baltic states. I also want to note that the building does not exactly repeat its real appearance, because I did it according to a project that is much more decorated, I especially like the spire, at the end of which the project was supposed to have a sickle and a hammer, but in reality, for some reason, they decided to make star, as in other "Stalinist skyscrapers." The mod weighs quite a lot due to the fact that I decided not to skimp on decor. But do not worry, this mod will not load the game too much, because I made a lod for optimization.

A bit of history:
The building of the Latvian Academy of Sciences is a 21-storey building in Riga. built on the model of the Moscow "Stalinist skyscrapers". Architects - professors Oswalds Tilmanis, Vaidelotis Apsitis, Karlis Pluksne, Vladimir Shnitnikov and engineer M. Shpektorov. Initially, the building was designed as a Collective Farmer's House. The first three floors were for public use, the upper floors were for a hotel with two-room suites and shared facilities. Construction lasted from 1952 to 1958, fully commissioned in 1960. During the construction of the skyscraper, prefabricated reinforced concrete structures were used for the first time in the USSR, and ceramic and clay tiles, slabs of natural and artificial stone were used for the exterior decoration. Despite the fact that Moscow skyscrapers served as a model, the architects tried to adapt the building to the general appearance of old Riga. For the construction of the skyscraper, a monument of Russian classicism was destroyed - Gostiny Dvor in the Moscow suburb. The building houses academic institutions, as well as centers for the study of the Latvian language, history and culture. During the "song revolution" in 1990, the interior and exterior decorations of the building, which had ideological significance (bas-reliefs of Lenin and Marx, Stuchka and Michurin, a five-pointed star on a spire, etc.), were dismantled. There was an intention to dismantle the high-rise part of the building up to 6 floors, but fortunately it was not implemented, because in my opinion the building became a new attraction of the beautiful Riga. In 2003, the building was awarded the banner of the cultural heritage of the Council of Europe as a kind of architectural object of the mid-20th century.
