Rockstar Spud signed with TNA in 2012 after participating in the promotion's British Boot Camp. He made his TNA debut in late 2013 as Dixie Carter's Chief of Staff.

He turned face the following year and eventually joined the X-Division. In 2015, he captured the X-Division Championship after using a Feast or Fired briefcase. He won the title a second time and cashed in the belt for a TNA World Heavyweight Title shot, which he lost to Kurt Angle.

Spud left TNA in 2017 and signed with WWE shortly after.
