More pottery! A selection of green-glazed pots to impress your guests and a large pie to feed the faces of folk. Actually, they aren't all glazed. From left to right, there is a tall jug for pouring, a 'baluster' pot for drinking, a pie dish and a large 'potterspury' jug. The smallest, a pipkin, is a about 5 inches/120mm across and used to heat or reheat small portions of food, supported on its own legs, over a fire. These designs are based on examples of medieval pottery which can be found in British museums today.
