Why are there so many different mods increasing it to 6 lmao?!?!?!?!?!? I just want 4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@Honshitsu workaround: start a new game with this mod disabled and create your race. save your game on turn 1 then exit out. Start up the game again this time with the mod enabled and this will let you have the 6 ethic points. You then use console command "effect country_add_ethic =" to add/upgrade your ethics. The AI nations will already be set and there is no way for them to use the extra ethics points.

is this not compatible with the civics one?

@Torres how does that work? I get the "your current design has errors" tooltip when i disable this or the civics picks mod...

Just enable the mod, save your race, disable mod and start game with saved race

Does anyone know a mod like this that effects only the player? I don't really want new AI factions using the points stupidly.

Update?

I was having trouble with this mod so I checked the file it overwritten and wondered how the hell it's crashing my game - This is a VERY clean mod, so I double checked my crash file and realized it was hitting an exception where it wasnt allowed access somewhere.

So I turned my mod folder (steamapps\workshop\content\281990) to 'read only' mode off and suddenly it boots up normally. Im a tech priest at this point because it seems like I only vaguely understand how Stellaris even functions. Good mod, though. Squeaky clean.
