Better Duct Block

When there is hull breach, slow the flooding down, otherwise keep the duct block open.


This duct block won’t work well if Top Hull Volume and Bottom Hull Volume have significant different. I am sorry that I didn’t consider the hull volume in the first place. I made a better version -- Flood Resist Duct Block . It should fix the problem.


This duct block will monitor the sum of water level of both sides.

If the total water level is increasing, close the block because it is not helping the submarine to drain the water out.

If the total water level is unchanged or decreasing, keep the block open to let water pass through.

The duct block needs to open periodically to check the change of the total water level, so the mechanism can only slow down the flooding. It will also respond to flooding much slower than the typical duct block wiring.

We can configure the delay between checking in the top “Delay Component”. Increasing the delay will slow down flooding, but also increase the “reaction time” of the water draining.
