Transformers Devastation: Nova Prime

Before Optimus, before Sentinel, before Nominus, there was the direct descendant of the 13 Primes: Nova Prime. Ambitious, thorough, determined, he set off to the stars in his flagship, the Proudstar, with one goal in mind: to cyberform unpopulated worlds, to expand the Cybertronian influence throughout the galaxy. His great heroism, however, was literally overshadowed by his great fall, as The Darkness took over him, corrupting him. These days, he makes his presence known not as Nova Prime, but the first Nemesis Prime.

That's it... that's the last Cybertronian from Transformers Devastation to port in Source. And honestly, I'm glad to finally get him ported. I am also testing out a new normal mapping system sing original game files to make his appear more as he did in-game.


It was surprising to find his model in the game at all. He was just a plot note in pre-rendered cutscenes and an after-credits scene that will never get fufilled any time soon. However, while the model did have a skeleton, it wasn't rigged properly. After Deveius answered by rigging bounty call (credited down below) I was finally able to get Nova Prime ported properly.


I got other stuff to work on. Don't hold your breath.



* Model is relatively large in size. Be wary of where you spawn him.
* Minimal face-flexes
* Valve bone names for ease of access.


* Fixing skeleton rig positions.
