Yes, you can modify the distance between the cars. By default, if the length parameter is null, the game applies a distance of 0.1 (0.05 in front and 0.05 behind). If a value is specified in the length parameter, the game will use that value which also allows two cars to overlap as happens with steam locomotives and their tenders.

I changed the window color but I don't think I can change the distance between the cars. As far as I know it's determined by the model's bounding box.
Very good model although if you allow me a few "tips".
The gap between the locomotive and the next car is greater than in other cars.
To make the windows look the same as the rest of the buildings or vehicles, I use the values (39,39,39) RGB / (272727) Hex.
