Play co-op with your friends and don't get item starved. Extra items have been added to treasure rooms, planetariums, boss rush, angel rooms, devil rooms with some other bonuses along the way.

Just wanted to let you know it doesn't account for multi-bodied characters, such as T forgotten, Jacob & esau. (It counts them as two characters.)
