描述
This is a Diverging Diamond Interchange. It's a 'service interchange', connecting a highway to a regular road network.

Note #1: This interchange design has the traffic that crosses the highway move in the opposite direction. Because of this feature, the traffic lights (if properly set up) at the two intersections only have two steps in a full cycle. To achieve this in the game, you'll need to use the mod called TM:PE. With it you can set up the 'Timed Traffic Lights' (see screenshots). Without this mod, this interchange will not function as it should.

Note #2: In order to get realistic grades at the ramps, this interchange needs the 'Curb Height Adjuster' mod. This mod also makes the deck of elevated highways and roads a lot thinner. This is why the minimum and maximum height for this interchange is only -4 to +4 meters from the ground it is placed on.[/b]

Note #3: The road markings you see in the screenshot are saved into the asset. If you want those markings to be visible in your game, you'll need to subscribe to the Intersection Marking Tool. If you do not care for the markings, then you do not need the Intersection Marking Tool mod. This interchange can be placed and function without this mod.

- Cost: 32.600,-
- Maintenance: 477,-
- Size: 112x62
- Max. height: +4m
- Min. height: -4m
- Steepest slope grade: 1,9°
- Nodecount: 38
- Lane mathematics are applied for a good traffic flow.
- Lane connections have been applied.
- No clipping lightposts/streetlights (lights going through roads situated above them)

- As always; flatten the entire area the blueprint/template covers.
- I advise to put a 'Timed Traffic Light' on the intersections and set them up as shown in the screenshots.

Because '3-lane highways' are the most commonly used highway type on maps, I've created this interchange to be connected (the highway ends on the interchange) to these 3-lane highways. The 4th lane on the 4-lane highways are used as exit and entry lanes.

Note: I've used the mod called 'Road Options' to make the roads look darker. With this mod you can alter the road colors of all the roads in your city with ease. Link: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=932192868&searchtext=road+options

Enjoy!

The very first interchange I created was a DDI as well. Want to see how my building skills have progressed? Check: https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2415988085

Want to know how 'Lane mathemetics' work and how to use the functions of TM:PE? I recommend watching some of Biffa's traffic fixing video's on Youtube

Any comments, suggestions and/or feedback is much appreciated! And if you like this collection so much that you think others should see it as well, then please rate it!

Oh, distance isn't part of the problem - I can get right up close with any of the nodes, and no lines appear. Just FYI. Still doesn't solve the mystery, though...

@MaxFX: Yeah, it's definitely puzzling. While watching that recent video of Biffa's, I noticed that the line were showing for him in most cases, but at least one of the interchanges he plopped looked just like what I was seeing, with no lines at the appropriate nodes. I don't know if that was one that didn't say it used IMT or not, though, so it could have been perfectly ok for that one. I just know that get nothing..

One other thing that's sort-of odd is that when I plop an interchange and then bring up TM:PE initially, the lines showing where the traffic flow is going to happen don't appear at first. When I select the option in TM:PE to set those lines, *then* everything appears and if I turn the option off (but keep TM:PE active so that everything continues to be displayed) then the lines continue to be displayed fine. Go figure.. 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately, selecting IMT and then clicking on a node doesn't make the lines appear, so that trick doesn't work there... lol

@Dave: This is indeed puzzling. When I plop them down everything looks as it should be.

As you can see the interchanges have quite the number of subscribers, and only a very few have this issue.

When watching Biffa's video, the markings are visible for him as well after plopping one of the modded interchanges...

It could be a setting, but the only one can think of is the rendering distance of IMT. This means that when you're close to the interchange the markings are visible, but from a distance they disappear.

@MaxFX: It's me again. 😋

I just wanted to say that what TotallyWilson reported (and the picture posted) is exactly what I'm experiencing when I plop down one of these (or any of your other ones that use IMT. 🙁

I have NO idea why it's not working, and I really wish that it *was*. The though of having to manually mark all those lines when adding an interchange makes me tired just thinking about it. 😆

I'm also using the Steam version of the game and have downloaded them from here in the Workshop. This is definitely all kinds of crazy-making.... Are there any particular settings inside IMT that I should be checking for in Options? (I don't think I've changed anything from what gets set by default when you install IMT....)

@MaxFX: Sadly it is still not working for me, cannot see the markings still. Thanks for the help though appreciate it!

@TotallyWilson: I've updated the interchange, including the markings. You might need to exit Steam and restart it for the changes to take effect, but perhaps with this new version you will see the markings.

Fingers crossed :hardhat:

@MaxFX: That is unfortunate, and I do have the steam version.
MaxFX  [作者] 2023 年 2 月 6 日 下午 9:59
@TotallyWilson: Well, I've tried it with both the stable as well as the Beta version of the IMT mod, and all looks fine.

Do you have the Steam version of the game and therefor also the Steam version (i.e. the most updated version) of this mod? If you got the mod from a different source then perhaps that's where the issue lies. Other than that, I have no idea how to help you with this I'm afraid.
TotallyWilson 2023 年 2 月 6 日 下午 4:09
@MaxFX: Yep, I have it enabled and can access it. https://imgur.com/a/ajTdX26 <- What I am getting when I'm placing it.

@TotallyWilson: Just loaded the game and placed the interchange. Markings look fine on my end.

Do you have the IMT mod enabled in the Content Manager?
