Majapahit Mod Jam Mod

描述
Created during the course of ModCon, this mod adds the Islands of Java and Bali to the Rajas of Indochina mod. An all star team of modders took up the challenge to see what they could do in only a few days!

Rajas of Indochina Mod is required to be loaded before adding this mod.

This mod includes:

  • detailing the map for the islands of Java and Bali.
  • 3D portrait assets including for commoners, nobles and royalty with clothing, headwraps, hats, crowns and a Kris dagger.
  • 3D building assets for Indonesian temples, villages and the wonders of Borobudur and Prambanan.
  • 3D Unit Models for Austronesian Infantry (three tiers).
  • A small collection of events for Java including the Cursed Kris of Mpu Gandring, the envoys of Kublai Khan and visiting Muslims who can join the local court, and the spread of Islam to Java.
  • Decisions like forming the Empire of Majapahit and visiting the Springs of Tumapel.
  • Landed and Titular Titles for Java and Bali.
  • Dynasties and Character Histories for hundreds of years for Java and Bali.
  • A 1280 Bookmark focused on Java and Bali.
  • Coats of Arms for titles and dynasties for Java an Bali.
  • New event backgrounds and themes.
  • A sound track of Gamelan mood music from Gamelan Nyai Saraswati[freemusicarchive.org] from central Java.

    Theme announced one week before the jam. Modders were allowed to gather reference materials before the start of the jam as well as access to a shared pinterest board[www.pinterest.com]. Modders could take code from their existing work and adapt it to the mod. Modders could make a claim for an area they are working on and inform the other jammers. The goal was to show what a team experienced modders with enough hands can do in a short time. All contributions were combined at the end of ModCon into a single total conversion mod.

    Theme: Majapahit

    Java in the 13th century (1200 CE) when Java transitions from several feuding kingdoms to the establishment of the Majapahit Empire that defeats the invasion of Kublai Khan (1293 CE) to the Regreg War (1406 CE). Bookmark date chosen was 1280, when Kublai Khan sent envoys to the Kingdom of Singhasari demanding tribute and vassalage.

    Modders knew the theme in advance so they could research historical details, collect images and other public domain materials before the jam starts.

    Why Indonesia? Why Java? Why Majapahit?

    1. Not currently part of CK3
    2. Not likely to be included in the first Expansion DLC for CK3
    3. Not an existing CK3 mod
    4. A single island that can be expanded to include other parts of Indonesia after the jam.
    5. A topographic height map can be easily found
    6. Several kingdoms that come together into an empire
    Majapahit beat Kublai Khan and the Mongols
    7. Religious melting pot
    8. Trowulan archaeology site has been submitted as potential UNESCO World Heritage
    9. Today, Indonesia has 4th largest population in the world: 270 million people!
    10. Not a fantasy setting that is under copyright.

nathanskutley, yes, more of a ROI thing. ModJam is over. I wouldn't expect further updates to this mod, as its contents will be incorporated into either ROI or already have been into CFP.

Hey I know this is more of a Rajas of IndoChina thing but does anyone know if there are plans for a 1280 bookmark that includes the whole map (IndoChina included?)?

Leon_RNS, this is probably something for the Rajas of Indochina mod to decide.

Also, Prambanan is the largest Hindu temple site in Indonesia and the second-largest in Southeast Asia after Angkor Wat (largest Hindu Temple in the world).

I have a question, do you have any plan for making candi Borobudur as holy site for Buddhism? Because apparently It is the world's largest Buddhist temple.
