HOWEVER, I feel that all weapons (Especially things like the MGs, ACs, Gauss and to an extent SRMs) feel very off because they're not at all muffled like you're sitting in the cockpit.
At the moment it all sounds like you're standing in the open right next to the weapon firing, instead of inside a sealed, armoured cockpit with a helmet and comms equipment on.
All you'd need to do is put the sound library through a pretty weak low pass filter and you'd have a perfect outcome.
I feel the low pass filter would both be more realistic, but maybe more importantly, reduce ear strain, as loud high end tends to do that. If you listen to the vanilla noises, all of them are relatively 'muffled' which is a little less ear-grating.
The quality of sounds in this mod are far, far better though and I wish I knew how to find and add the low pass filter to the sounds myself without breaking something.
There are sounds/classes that I'm absolutely in love with (looking at you, lasers), and some that for personal reasons I'm not a huge fan of (ACs, PPCs, etc.) usually because they're TOO realistic (e.g., they grate on the ears after many repeated plays). So with that I do find myself wishing for "line-item versions" where possible, but maybe that's just me.
Again love this mod, great work!
