Heretics of Aether, be warned. By the will of the Holy Queen, you shall be purified!


The eponymous anti-heroine of Virgo vs. the Zodiac makes her way into Aether.

Virgo is a heavy weight character who uses a large array of weapons forged from stardust plucked from across the galaxy, from spears and swords to cellos and alpacas! She has huge disjoints on her attacks, but many of her moves are slow with long wind up and/or wind down phases, making combos difficult to execute. Utilise her long attack range, multiple projectiles and speed buffs to overcome her weaknesses.

Virgo’s signature gimmick from her home game, Purity, makes an appearance here. Upon a successful parry, or by landing certain moves, Virgo gains a shield of Purity. While she has Purity, Virgo will lose Purity on hit instead of taking direct damage, and knockback is negated. Damage over time effects can still hurt her, though, and you still take hit stun.

Specials:


Neutral Special - Toxodotes: Virgo fires an arrow that flies a short distance. If it hits, Virgo gains a movement speed boost for a short time.

Forward Special - Alpacavalry. Virgo mounts the alpaca Khrysomallo and charges. She can cancel it with jump and the Alpaca will continue charging. The ability will go on cooldown for short while after use.

(Khrysomallo naturally has golden fur, but for this he had it dyed to show support for Virgo)

Up Special - Hawkshead. Virgo uses jetpack to soar upwards. It can be cancelled early by air dodging.

Down Special – Fire the Broadsides! Virgo’s ‘big move’ using a cannon bought from her fellow Zodiac, Aquarius. The long animation makes hitting the move difficult, but it is very powerful.

Down Special in the air – Drop the Broadsides. If you want a faster attack, you can drop the cannon instead. Acts as a trap that will damage on contact. Only one cannon can be in play at once.

Other Noteworthy Moves:


Uair - Fortress. Summons a fortress. Slows Virgo’s fall speed while in use. Slow and difficult to hit with, but powerful and builds Purity.

FStrong - Blue Shaft Halberd. A strong two-hit attack that builds Purity.

UStrong - Golden Pillar. A slow, long ranged attack that builds Purity.


Compatible with Mt Dedede Arena, Steve, Hikaru and Dracula.
