描述
Prussian AT 3 "Wittfeld" Battery-electric railcar (DB ETA 177/178/180, PKP Ma 90 801). Developed for a competition which envisioned a cheap and simple (compared to steam locomotives) train which could move 100 people 100 km at a speed of 50 kph, the Type Wittfeld (later AT 3) was the first battery-powered heavy-rail vehicle produced in large numbers (163 units between 1907 and 1915). A 3-car unit was also trialled, but the additional weight badly affected range (100 instead of 280 km).

New batteries, introduced after 1924 increased operational range beyond 300 km. The type survived two world wars, although some units were awarded to Poland by the Entente while others remained in East Germany. They were was only withdrawn after 55 years in 1962 (1952 in East Germany, 1956 Poland). The surviving West German units were refitted after the war and designated ETA 177/178/180) This saw the top speed increased to 75 kph. Despite their advanced age and primitive construction (wooden body on a steel shell), they easily averaged 300 km daily.

Included in this mod:

AT-3 (60 kph, 106 PAX)
ETA 177/178/180 (75 kph, 108 PAX)

With liveries for the Prussian State Railways, German Railways and Polish State Railways.
