AK-12 7.62x51 mm Variant

This mod adds seperate variants of the AK-12 rifles chambered in the 7.62x51 mm NATO cartridge. This also includes the AKU-12 and the RPK-12. Named after their real counterparts, the AK rifles have been called AK-308 while the RPK, now no longer having a big magazine, has been called SVK-308, since it is now more useful as a DMR than an LSW. All weapons feed from normal 20-Round 7.62x51 mm magazines.

All weapons are available in black, lush and arid color variants.

Disclaimer

All variants of the AK-308 will have the default AK-12 icon in the Arsenal and inventory, but will have their respective skins ingame. This is because Bohemia hasn't unlocked the Contact DLC files yet for me to make custom icons but I will probably update them once the EBOs are unlocked.

Compatibility

All weapons can take any modded M14 magazines, drums also work. As for attachments, some mods will work, some don't, I may add more compatiblity in the future (RHS works!)

Language

The weapons are mostly translated to every available language of Arma 3 with the only exception being the arid and lush variants which are only available in English, German, Spanish and French. I will add the other languages once BI unlocks the Contact EBOs.

Weapon Statistics

Because the weapon is still 7.62 caliber and the barrel must be the same, weight has not been touched, meaning that the AK-308 weighs the same as the AK-12. Recoil has been increased to reflect the more powerful cartridge. Muzzle velocity values:
- AK-308: 860 m/s
- AK-308 GL: 860 m/s
- AKU-308: 770 m/s
- SVK-308: 910 m/s
