The year is 1065...
The king of Spain is gravely ill. On his death bed, he summons his 3 sons. Hoping to achieve the lasting prosperity of his lands and avoid any resentments among his heirs, the king declares that the kingdom shall be shared equally between his sons. The 3 agreed to their father's will and the king died. Soon after, war was waged and heroes were born. This is the time of Rodrigo Diaz... The Cid.

Factions

-Spanish kingdoms
Decendant of the Visigoths who settled in the spanish peninsula. There are many spanish kingdoms at war with each other. It is not rare for spanish rulers to ally themselves with emirs. They rally under the christian banner.

-Moorish emirates
They crossed the sea from africa and conquered much of spain. Many emirates are at war with the spanish kingdoms but some coexist in peace. They rally under the islamic banner.

I love to the mod One suggestion When a unit is building a siege ram or like trebuchets it makes the unit model look like a bunch of tents from a like siege camp

Version 1.0.1 brings many small gameplay changes that seamlessly (hopefully) increases the mods pace. Making the overall experience more dynamic and smooth. Also some units have been re-balanced and i adjusted some mechanics like unit replenishment and healing. Starting sieges should be easier now too. I also fixed some errors.

This is easily my favorite example of a pre-gunpowder mod. The units have some of the coolest mechanics I've seen. A small gripe, the melee units are particularly chase happy. Could be cool to add a naval-focused unit or 2 for each side, as well as making naval combat more interesting. I definitely enjoyed the simplified economy.

Monsters for this mod? Its not a fantasy mod. But check out Legends of Highpeak, War of the ring or WarRust, they have monsters.
