EMD E8 Southern Pacific Coast Daylight

The Southern Pacific was an American Class I railroad network that existed from 1865 to 1996 and operated largely in the Western United States. The system was operated by various companies under the names Southern Pacific Railroad, Southern Pacific Company and Southern Pacific Transportation Company.

The original Southern Pacific began in 1865 as a land holding company. The last incarnation of the Southern Pacific, the Southern Pacific Transportation Company, was founded in 1969 and assumed control of the Southern Pacific system. The Southern Pacific Transportation Company was acquired in 1996 by the Union Pacific Corporation and merged with their Union Pacific Railroad.

This train is modeled after the Coast Daylight Streamlined train. Pulled by the EMD E8A and E7A&B. This consist is funky, this train uses articulated cars in pairs which made it unique to work on. As well as the Articulated Diner and Kitchen cars which were one of a kind.

Comes with automatic engine reverse feature: spawns the engine in front of the direction the train goes. comes with custom sound effects for movement and horn.
imported with a prototype mod to reduce the texture compression in game so the file size is large

Train functions as a regular passenger train but due to its length some additional consideration might be needed when setting up passenger stations for it. Consult the "How to use very long passenger trains, building station complex" by REV0
