描述

The denizens of the rim have remembered the lost art of making a cup of tea. A standalone mod that adds a selection of hot drinks to be brewed and the plants required to make them. Relaxing cups of tea, stimulating mugs of coffee and warming hot chocolate are just some of the beverages available for your pawns to kick back with after a long day of survival.

Research basic and modern beverages to unlock!

If adding to a save, use Drug Policy Fix or make a new drug policy! Do not remove from a save!


• 2 new plants, tea and coffee shrubs. Tea is harder to grow, however produces a non-addictive beverage.
• Coffee made from freshly ground coffee beans. Gives a small consciousness boost. Addictive.
• Tea made from tea leaves. Tiny buff to consciousness. Not addictive.
• Hot chocolate made from milk and chocolate. Reduces minimum comfortable temperature, gives mood boost.
• Latte made from coffee beans and milk. Small consciousness boost. Higher joy than coffee. Addictive.
• Mocha made from coffee beans, chocolate, and milk. Small consciousness boost. Higher joy than coffee and latte. Addictive.

• Why does the coffee shrub look like Oskar's? - Because I drew the base he used. :) I let him use it in his mod, but for this one, redrew it completely.
• Why do this when VEBrewing exists? - Because I simply didn't enjoy the alcohol bloat in that mod, and only wished to use the tea and coffee. So, I created this small standalone with my own XML and art.

- there's literally a research for basic beverages. You can't make them without doing it, and if I remember correctly it's the basic stove that you can make them at.

im so sorry to be a dink. but now that ive harvested the tea- theres no direction on how to make tea? im a tribe clan- we only have a fireplace and a cooking pot over a fireplace to work with- how to make tea?

2. Mmmmm, matcha. I'll think about it. The only problem is finding where to get the "matcha" from, as I really don't feel like adding yet another plant. T^T If you have ideas, feel free to join the discord! I'm totally up for adding matcha tea at some point.

This mod is amazing!!! I wish I found this before I downloaded VEB, since this is what I was after the whole time. If it's ok, I have a few questions (I think they're pretty short, don't worry)
1. Do you know if the tea in this mod works with Alpha Meme's "Tea Primacy" meme?
2. I'm an avid matcha tea drinker (tariffs & the global shortage are killing me :steamsad:), and I can't find a single mod that has it. Would you be open to adding it (&/or other teas) to this mod? 1000% fine if not! I know you want this to be free of bloat and honestly your mods are a breath of fresh air for that.

All that aside, thank you for this!!

Thanks for this! In my current run, I'm using VBE, that I installed mainly for the tea and coffee. I made a Bar with Hospitality + Gastronomy in the main buffet of my colony, to try make some cocktail... I liked the idea of a bar, but the bloat of alcohol is too much, and the Pawns doesn't even know how to drink (my cleansweepers are working full time cleaning puke). I'll use this one on my next run, and I'll made a coffee shop instead.
