This is a mod that adds plenty of effects to locusts obtained from items! Some of them are really amazing! (Godhead is my personal favorite!). Make sure you have Locust API installed and enjoy your new locusts!

is there a way to prevent that from happening to avoid locusts that are too strong?

it doesn't override any xml locust effects, all overlapping locust effects (e.g. stats) from the abyss++ will stack instead
