The inspired writers at Rock Paper Shotgun, describe it: by saying that it "feels like tramping through a creation myth as it’s still being told". I think it's a very accurate description.

Yes, the game has a striking visual style. This combination of low poly models and washed-up textures works surprisingly well and does a great job setting the background for the game's lore which talks about a world that's given new life (and new substance) in the light, after existing for ages in total darkness. It reminded me a bit of Sunless Sea lore at times.
