Here's to a remake of the classic Colt 1911 seen in early gameplay footage of Turtle Rock Studios' Left 4 Dead. This includes the original audio sample used for gunfire. No Audacity smoke-and-mirrors B.S. by shoddily ripping it out of gameplay footage from the beta; this one's the real deal.

The original pistol included env-mapping, simulating a metallic/specular shine which was broken in later versions of Source up to Left 4 Dead's release. This mod aims to restore that metallic shine through alternate methods, as well as introduce bump-mapping, and an eventual release of the source files (including the PBR textures used to render the images on the workshop page.)

At the moment, the texturing for the M1911 is finalized. However, it still needs to be ported to a proper specular/envmap setup as the original was set up in PBR.

• Added viewmodel, worldmodel (WIP) & textures. Restored 2007 lettering. Work still needs to be done, expect updates soon.
