About the SPO2812 Gearbox
I-Shift Dual Clutch is a gearbox that can be powershifted, giving uninterrupted power transfer to the wheels, at most single-step gear changes. It features 12 gears and it is dimensioned for 2800 Nm of torque. I-Shift Dual Clutch handles up to 80 tonnes of gross combination weight, ideal for demanding long and regional-haul operations, including timber transports.

In transports where speed and topography varies a lot I-Shift Dual Clutch is ideal to maintain the highest possible average speed in combination with excellent fuel consumption performance. The
uninterrupted power transfer also contributes to a very smooth ride to be the perfect choice for many sensitive transports.

What's in our Mod
7 SPO2812 Gearboxes that feature quick powershifting are added to the game. Drivers can upgrade their trucks at the Dealers, Repair Shops, and Garage Management section. The gear ratios are based on the data published by Volvo Truck Corporation(June 20, 2016).

The only difference between these 7 gearboxes is the rear axle ratios. In real-life application, the SPO2812 Gearbox is only available for D13K460(TC), D13K500(TC), and D13K540 engines. RSS1360 is the most commonly selected rear axle to complete the driveline; it is capable of providing 7 differential ratios ranging from 2.47 to 4.11, thus making it possible for the drivers to decide their ideal rear axle ratios given their preferred GCW (gross-combination weight), topography of the route, and driving style.

All gearboxes are equipped with retarder. No crawler gear is available for Volvo's Dual Clutch Gearbox. However, with PTO (power take-off) mechanisms and proper real axles, the theoretical maximum GCW is 80 tonnes. In the game, it is recommended that drivers should avoid hauling cargo that weighs more than 40 tonnes.

New icons have been added to make our gearboxes more professional.

Recommended driveline:
1) Light express:
*Chassis: 4x2;
*Engine: D13K460, D13K460TC, or D13K500;
*Transmission: SPO2812R (Ratio: 2.47, 2.64, 2.85, or 3.08);
*GCW: Under 25 tonnes.

2) Relatively powerful:
*Chassis: 6x2 or 6x4;
*Engine: D13K500TC and D13K540;
*Transmission: SPO2812R (Ratio: 3.08, 3.40, or 3.67);
*GCW: Above 20 tonnes.

Volvo's I-Shift Dual Clutch Gearbox is one of the best ever products in the history of mechanical engineering. Since the game version 1.31, the gear shift time could be adjusted, giving rise to a number of 'Dual Clutch Gearbox' Mods, none of which was seriously tailored and tested to accurately reflect the operation of such a delicate masterpiece.
