Richmond, NSW, Australia

Richmond is a town in New South Wales, in the local government area of the City of Hawkesbury. It is located 19 metres above sea level on the alluvial Hawkesbury River flats, at the foot of the Blue Mountains on the Cumberland Plain. It is about 65 km by road from Sydney.

The 1st picture is a scene looking down towards the Hawkesbury Valley from the Bells Line of Road at Kurmond. The 2nd picture is of Windsor Bridge, a crucial piece of transport infrastructure in this area. The 3rd image shows the real-life area this map is based on.

Mass Transit DLC will be required as most highways in this area are 2-way highways. Natural Disasters DLC will be required as this region is prone to bushfires, floods and thunderstorms.

Industries DLC is highly recommended due to Richmond and much of its surrounding area being an important horticultural region due to its fertile alluvial soils. Campus DLC is also highly recommended as Richmond is home to the Hawkesbury Campus of Western Sydney University.

The Richmond area is just outside the North West Growth Area. Due to a large potential for population growth, other recommended DLCs include After Dark, Match Day, Pearls from the East and Green Cities.
