Visible Lost Health [Rep]

描述
In order to see Holy Mantles for other characters, check out our other mod, Visible Holy Mantles.

You can find the Afterbirth+ version of this mod here: The Lost has visible health (Afterbirth +).

Description
You can now see the health of the characters The Lost and The Tainted Lost. Their health icon indicates when they have a holy mantle-like shield (including shields from holy card, blanket, and wooden cross) and when they can take extra hits (via items like Heartbreak).
This mod is cosmetic, it does not alter any game mechanics.

Configuration
This mod is integrated with Mod Config Menu; you can adjust the settings for this mod with MCM.

If you do not have Mod Config Menu installed, no problem!
  1. Go to the mod folder location (should be under Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\mods\visible_lost_health_2497320263 for Windows users) and open the file main.lua.
  2. Look for a section in the file titled 'VLH.Settings'. This should be around line 10.
  3. Edit the values within 'VLH.Settings', save and close the file.
  4. Go to the data folder for Repentance (should be under Steam\steamapps\common\The Binding of Isaac Rebirth\data for Windows users) and delete the folder visible_lost_health.

Compatibility with Other Mods
  • VLH does not work with any mods that alter the Holy Mantle sprites, in general.
  • [RGON] Repentance Plus!: VLH does not work with [RGON] Repentance Plus!.
  • Mantle Rework: VLH does not work with Mantle Rework.

Known Bugs and Limitations
  • Only the first player can see their health.
  • The holy mantle UI sprite added in version 1.7.5 is removed for all characters.
  • Currently, it is impossible to draw the health icons to the left of the extra lives counter. However, you can choose in the config options whether you want the health icons drawn below or to the right of the extra lives counter.
  • No health is shown if another character becomes The Lost temporarily via Soul of the Lost or the white flame in the Downpour.
  • If the player has Curse of the Unknown disabled but becomes The Lost partway through a level with Curse of the Unknown, the curse won't be removed. To fix this, just reselect the option in MCM to disable the curse.

I dont know why but when i switch between a different heart style it just resets to de default sprite after a few seconds... it is repentance + compatibility problem , is it a bug or is because i have another mod?

I think i found something, it seems like the Sussy Hearts Mod has a incompatibility, seems like it overrides the textures of this mod, so the holy mantle that is suposed to disappear doesnt, i know maybe this isnt so big of a deal but, it may mean that other mods that rework textures of the holy mantle or hearts etc. wont work with this

@Big Macc All this mod does is show the player how many mantles they have, it doesn't alter that number or have any effect on that number.
I'm guessing you had Wooden Cross and Holy Card, as those two mantles are treated strangely by the game (you can read more about the interaction on the Holy Card page of the wiki).
So you can safely continue using this mod if you wish, it won't change how the game works.

uh when I had 2 mantles it showed them both in heart form, but later legit when I left the room my mantle was gone! Im not sure if its this mod or repentance but its not doing me great

yeah i was using the mantle rework mod , i disabled it so i thought that fixed it but i didnt try uninstalling it

@roal Thanks for the report. Could you give me some more info on when you encountered the bug, like were there any other mods you were using that you think might also change the mantle icons? I'm guessing it's a mod compatibility issue since I can't recreate this bug, but if I find otherwise I'll update this mod.

theres this weird bug where the normal mantle shows itself twice with this mod as if it doesn't remove the original mantle being shown.
