The SS America of 1939 was the third ship built for the United States Lines. Designed by William Francis Gibbs (designer of the SS United States in 1952), she was launched the day before WWII began in Europe. Her interiors, designed by a team of two women, were slick and informal late Art Deco that were meant to provide an "atmosphere of cheerfulness and sophisticated charm". During the war, she served as the USS Wakefield, and ferried troops all over the world, as well as back home when the war ended.

Repainted into civilian colors, she served the United States lines until the 1960s, together with her much longer and much faster sister. In 1964, she was sold to Chandris Lines to begin her second career as the SS Australis ( also available on the Workshop! ).
She was wrecked off Fuerteventura in 1994 as the SS American Star ( available here ).

This is a large ocean liner. Modern ships like these crossed the Atlantic from the 1920s to the 1960s, and served in other roles until the 1980s. The premier ocean liner for C:S!

Note that this ship is quite large, coming in at 723 feet (220 M). It's also pretty large in the tri department.


Has custom smoke and wake effects with Vehicle Effects. Functions as a cruise ship ingame. Speed can be changed using AVO. A ploppable version is included!

If you use LSM, most textures should be shared, which will reduce the overall size.
