描述
This mod is no longer required as TMTRAINER no longer removes progression items! If installed, it will give unnecessary duplicate copies of them.

This mod makes the game give you story-related items for progression if you are holding TMTRAINER: This means that:
  • You get the Polaroid and Negative after beating Mom, so you can go to the Chest, Dark Room, and through the door to Ascent.
  • You get Dad's Note after entering the Ascent boss room, so you no longer get softlocked.
  • You get Key Pieces after defeating the angels, so you can unlock the door to Mega Satan.
  • You get Knife Piece 1 when entering the mirror treasure room, so you can unlock the door to Mother. You can get Knife Piece 2 without this mod since items are disabled in the chase sequence, but with this mod you also get it if you have a mod that spawns it elsewhere.
  • You get Broken Shovel after having the first piece and finishing the Boss Rush, so you can create Mom's Shovel if you picked up TMTRAINER during the run.
Enjoy using TMTRAINER without losing plot-critical items!

They are replaced but the items are automatically added to your character. I will try to make it remove the pedestal if it had a story item that got added to your character.

This mod is installed but the items are still replaced, any idea why?

Does this work with Filigree Feather? I worry that without specifically addressing that case, the trinket might be overridden by the mod.

It's actually confirmed that it removing story items isn't intended so I expect one of the upcoming updates to make this mod not needed anymore.

i really hope this gets put into the actual game. i think it's thematically appropriate that TMTRAINER bricks key items, but otherwise it doing that just kinda sucks, especially when you get it as a blind pickup.
