USS BB-73 Congress

= Fictional =

Newly designed battleship by USN. The Navy take advantage of hull of battlecruiser and greatly changed it into a super battleship.As a next generation warmachine, she inherited devastating firepower of Iowa class while having more capable armor to defend herself.

Personlly speaking, the Congress class is one of my new ships. I used many skills on the hull of Constellation to change her into a brand new battleship instead of BC. The sharp head and redesigned armor make her stand out. The disadvantage of using BC hull is that the ship is toooooo long (270m ! ) while I do not hope to add 4 turrets on her.
I think the Congress shall be the "lower" version of Constitution class ( 10W tons ,you can find her in the Oceanus Procellarum above), and so she should just has 3 main batteries. The result is the 3rd turret looks like made by Italian.And the original BC hull's armor is too weak to defend any shellls, which is unacceptable for a capable battleship so I remade the armor and enforced it.
Yet after all she is a balanced ship having perfect fire power, armor and high speed for her size.

Among all the ships I have built, she is my favorite.

=虚构船只=
由美国海军设计的下一代战列舰，使用了战列巡洋舰的船体以达到高航速与修长舰体。作为新锐战争机器，她继承了衣阿华级的凶猛火力与可靠防空，并平衡了各项性能。

碎碎念：这艘船我使用了之前的Constellation的船体，并将其重制为战列舰。安装了 尖锐的上翘船头和重新设计的装甲，以便更好贴合船体。同时也加厚了主装甲带的厚度。使用战巡船体的好处是能偷很多懒。坏处是船体太长。我设想的Congress应该和Constitution两级船形成“高速406”+“低速457”的组合。因此我只安装了三个主炮塔，同时这也减少了装甲带长度。虽然结果而言，X炮塔看起来不太对劲，但是这艘船还是在航速装甲和火力三个方面取得了好的平衡。我个人还是很喜欢的
