描述
"Choice brings benefits"

This mod adds the Choice items from the Pokémon series as trinkets. Each one provides a sizeable buff (multiplier) to its respective stat:

Choice Band: damage
Choice Scarf: move speed
Choice Specs: tears

and "choice-locks" your aim while held - the first direction you fire/charge tears in a room is the only direction you can aim until you leave that room. If you really need to change directions, you can drop and re-equip the trinket, but it takes time, so choose wisely!

Interaction notes:
- Overrides Analog Stick
- Choice lock still affects charging upgrades
- Marked target can only move in one direction (and can't move back) from the point where you start firing

while i understand how and why it has the effect of locking tear direction, that kinda makes these trinkets nearly unusable - you essentially become extremely vulnerable for a really small bonus until you leave the room. that risk definitely outweighs its benefits (tbh it's also why I kinda hate the choice items competitively) but I do like the idea of trying to bring Pokémon items and their effects into TBOI. Kinda makes me wanna see if I could throw together a mod for Leftovers :aushrug:

Just checked this out again, the only thing i would recommend is choice band being slightly better with no items, maybe a small flat damage buff on top of the multiplier
