DB BR 610 Pendolino

German Class 610 "Pendolino" tilting DMU. Capable of 160 kph, based on the Fiat ETR-401 prototype. Twenty units were built, further orders were stopped since politics favoured an entirely German design which resulted in the Class 611 and 612. The Class were cheap to run, but expensive to maintain and had issues with their bogies which required frequent checks. Nonetheless, they were considered reliable and usually travelled over 1000 km/day, despite the relatively small network they were used on. Since spare parts were hard to come by with only 20 units produced, they were phased out by 2014. During their 22 year service, they averaged around 5,000,000 km per unit.

Each unit consists of two cars for a total of 290 PAX and 970 kW. Up to 4 units can be coupled. Included are two liveries for both paint schemes which were applied to the 610s.
