I always test it from AppData first and directly from the Steam Workshop second. Didn't have any issues, worked fine for me.
Can anyone else confirm?

Hello author, I am the author of another MOD. I have found that subscribing to mods like ours that modify expert files from the Workshop is invalid and only works when stored locally（like : \AppData\Local\.uoc2\_packages）. Is the same true for your mod? Do you have time to check

Thank you, I added them. Tested a few scenarios, should work now.
A word of warning: The ISU-152 is now on second position, engineers in third, so watch out for your expensive Zveroboys.

It's not that weird.
I am modifying each engineer unit seperately. I just didn't update this mod after Kurs and Berlin, so the engineer units added with those dlcs (yugoslavian and soviet romanian engineers and others) were not modified.

Your units will lose their steps from left to right. So if you're unfortunate and lose a step in one of those famour 3-0 attacks, you'll lose a normal step and not an engineer. Which also means you'll lose experience though, so it's up to you what you prefer.

Just uploaded the "Sturdy Recons"-mod. Great naming sense, I know. It moves the recon steps to 2nd position, same as engineers. It's barely tested and I probably won't play a lot, so...

Of course, wouldn't take much time. But tbh, I didn't play this game in a while, so it might be better for you to create the mod yourself - it's really not hard, I'd explain how. So up to you: Wanna try it out yourself or should I do it?

Any chance you can do the same for the Recon Step?
