BNSF C44-9W No. 4041 (H2 scheme)

For whatever reason I decided to make two other number variants of my BNSF C44-9W re-skin, alongside the MSTS-stickered 4723. The numbers 4041 and 4951 were chosen because they both match two DC locomotives here in New Zealand (although DC 4041 is now in Australia).

This 4041 was built by General Electric and finished in August 2003 (as an aside, this was just one of a staggering 3,668 C44-9W engines built between 1993 and 2004). The engine has spent - pretty much - her entire life painted in BNSF’s H2 paint scheme.

As far as I know, 4041 is still in service with BNSF and still carries the H2 scheme. She is now 18 years old, which is three less than me (at the time of making this re-skin).
