A collection of handmade single-continent maps.

I have always thought that Civilization's maps are way too large. By late game you have alot of unclaimed land. I have always thought this is extreamly unrealistic. So here is my solution; make maps with a more one-sided land-to-water ratio. This way, the map is filled. This also creates the need to grab as much land as possible before it's all taken. The continent can be filled as early as 100AD.

-Forest Land: Europe theme. Huge lake, several small lakes. 50% is rough terrain.

-Beach Land: Indonesia-Malaysia theme. Mostly jungle Islands. Single-tile wide channels of water throuought. 90% rough terrain.

-Frontier Land: New World theme. Two continents conected by a single-tile wide peice of land. Great lakes, caribbean-like islands, and more. South America is 80% rough terrain. North America is 30% rough terrain.

-Desert Land- Africa/Arabian Penninsula theme. Single-tile wide channels of water throuought. All flat.

Oh and nice designs, fun to win. [Quite annoying when you try it with 19 AIs... and 28 City States] [If you wonder, not that you would, I'm always offline when playing...Damn achievments]

robbiefitzy and The Anglo-Saxon All map are huge size, so I would have to make each a 4th of their current size. Though I could.

Theres you thinking the maps are to large, I've always been thinking that the maps are way to small

Also I agree with The Anglo-Saxon, put em together [as I thought it was when I clikced on it] and you get an epic map :)

I often feel they are too small overall, but hate how densly packed all the islands are on other maps. If you took away the ice, putting the four maps together as they appear would be perfect.

Or you can just choose more civilizations on a smaller map
