Värtaterminalen

描述
Värtaterminalen is a new ferry and cruise ship terminal in Stockholm, Sweden. Unfortunately some cases where the harbor doesn't function and I don't have the resources to fix it, sorry.

Background
The terminal building was designed by C.F. Møller architects and it was opened in 2016. Solar panels and vegetation on the roofs promote sustainability. The paths on the roof and its terraces double as a city park. The building is very clean, sleek and functional as is appropriate to contemporary Scandinavian design.

The terminal is used by the ferries that sail from Stockholm to Finland and the Baltic states.

Gameplay
This asset contains two buildings, the terminal building and a functional harbor. They can be used separately but you need to place both of them (using mods) to create a complex like in the pictures.
  • Värtaterminalen, the terminal building.
    • Same stats as vanilla Transport Tower
    • Lot size 32×5 u.
    • In total 5.5k tris (two models). Lod about 130 tris.
  • Värtan harbor, functional harbor.
    • Same stats as vanilla harbor.
    • Lot size 4×12 u.
    • 200 tris, lod 4 tris. The required walk bridges are 280×4 + 220×1 + 310×2 = 1650 tris, lods total 190 tris.

Kind of but not strictly required mods
  • The assets have shared textures. Use Loading Screen Mod to minimise memory usage!
  • If you want your the terminal complex look like in the previews you will need Move It mod and/or anarchy mod.
Other
The ship in the pictures is Silja Europa (vehicle).

The asset has illumination textures, but because everything is so poorly documented and because I'm lazy, I haven't been able to sync the illumination between the sub-buildings. Sorry about that.

I have no experience on those mods that enable changing colors. Color variations are enabled on windows and grass areas. Let me know if I have to alter the color textures.

Nevertheless, if you use this asset in your city, I'd be happy to see some screenshots! I'll add the best shots to the asset page!

It's quite beautiful, I really like it. I do think the ships can spawn close to each other

This works fine for me. Just be careful with using MoveIt as that can mess up the hidden pathways. That goes for airports, train stations, harbors, etc, try to avoid using MoveIt on those types of buildings.

@Salmiak, the terminal building is a ploppable landmark. You can use the Värtan walk bridges props to replicate the harbor (but you'll need Move it mod or other mod that lets you place props freely).

If youi have problems with spawning ships, check the ploppable Rico Mod.

You have to delete the harbor in Lokal, save it and restart the Game. After that it should work probably.

Very nice looking, but for some reason it doesnt work.
any chance getting this as just ploppable? the model is awesome so would be nice to use it.

I also have the Problem with ships not spawning. I checked for incompatible mods, placed the habor at another place and replaced it with the vanilla habor. The Vanilla habor works just fine but I had no luck getting it to work.

Fynboen: try to place the harbor somewhere else on the map and see if it works there. Make sure you don't have any broken mods. Unfortunately creating custom harbor assets is so poorly documented that I can't say what conditions cause the ships not spawn.
