Class description
Cargo vessels and support vessels have different subclasses. This vessel is a fast combat support ship (AOE) designed primarily for mining and transporting cargo in or near enemy territory. As such, it carries a limited suite of offensive and defensive weapons. Relatively high speeds for a transport ensures some evasive capabilities should the threat level increase beyond what the ship can muster.

The Ship
The Surveyer is a small and relatively cheap mining vessel, designed to be placed in larger mining zones for longer periods of time than the Explorer, which is faster but has half the mining power. The Surveyer is un upgrade to the Explorer in all ways, except for mobility. At just over 40k, she's cheap and easy to produce in larger numbers. Having a bit better cargo storage capabilities than the Explorer, she can also be left to herself for longer periods of time as well has having four times the firepower (while costing two times more). As such, she's a more survivable ship, although don't expect her to be able to fend for herself against larger foes.
