Class description
Cargo vessels and support vessels have different subclasses. This vessel is a fast combat support ship (AOE) designed primarily for mining and transporting cargo in or near enemy territory. As such, it carries a limited suite of offensive and defensive weapons. Relatively high speeds for a transport ensures some evasive capabilities should the threat level increase beyond what the ship can muster.

The Ship
The Explorer class mobile miner is a small, but very capable mining vessel. Primarily designed as a cheap access to distant resource zones, she's fast (24m/s) and can carry a lot of cargo for her size (243.500 units). She's ideal to be used in RZs that have recently been captured, being able to move away from danger at a whim if needed. Should the vessel come under attack, she can't really fend for herself. Despite having offensive firepower, she doesn't pack the punch necessary to single handidly deal with enemies. Make sure she has escorts should she sail through contested areas.
