Built: 1987 - 1988 (Refurbished: 2006 - 2007)
Number Built: 42 (7 in Service, 35 converted to Class 153 DMUs)
Formations:

Total Passengers per Car: 120 (Seated and Standing)

Operators:
British Rail (Regional Railways & WYPTE)
Arriva Trains Northern (1997 - 2004)
Serco-Abellio Northern Rail (2004-2016)

Northern Trains and Northern Rail ran the same franchise (at different times) but were different companies (Northern Rail was a Serco/Abelio JV until 2016, Northern Trains was an Arriva subsidiary that succeeded Northern Rail until 2020). The current iteration of Northern is run by DOR after Arriva lost the contract in 2020 due to bad performance.

Was Northern Rail just the same business name as Northern Trains or did they go out of business?
