United States Huge Mercator Map Pack (MERCUS)

A series of huge maps of the contiguous United States with randomly generated resources, accurate terrain, and navigable rivers including the Colorado River, the Rio Grande, the St. Lawrence, and, of course, the Mississippi. Natural Wonders are placed in real life locations, and other natural wonders are placed strategically throughout the map.

Since it is so large, putting as many civilizations and city states as possible will help fill up the map.

Includes an optional scenario created with minimal effort based on Fallout, A Canticle for Leibowitz, and various North American stereotypes...

Playing this map without preset starts led to me being stuck in pretty bad spawns, so a map with preset starts is included, putting the plater in locations where actual cities are.

Once the mod is loaded, the maps will show up when creating a game, with all three maps starting with 'MERCUS'.

V.2 Now featuring a map of the American Southwest with Navigable Colorado and Gila Rivers, and natural wonders. Includes California, Nevada, Utah, Arizona, and parts of Colorado and New Mexico. Also includes the now dry Lake Cahuilla that links the Pacific to the Colorado.

V.3-4 Modifying existing maps: more plains added to Southwest map, and added room for canal connecting the Gulf of California to the Pacific.

Added a new map: US East Coast with navigable Mississippi. Map goes from Louisiana to Prince Edward Island. It is classified as a large map.

I originally created these maps for myself. After tuning them up a bit, I decided to release them. Thanks to everyone who has played on them, I hope you continue to enjoy the maps!
