Red Skill and Legendary Lord Skills Rework

描述
The Red Skills of the lord skill tree is one of the most useful, especially the way it scales as your units become better and better through research and buildings. However, it has many gaps left in it with many units left out. This mod is meant to fix that. Note that it is not meant to make it that every lord can cover every unit in their faction with red skills. Flagellant units will still be better with an Arch Lector lord (including Volkmar) than any other lord for example. In addition, there are many legendary lords that lack skills that generics possess. This mod is meant to fix both issues.

Quick Overview
  • The Mighty Forge empire skill affects Luminark of Hysh units. The charge bonus is unhelpful but the Ward Save can help it withstand counterfire.
  • The Dwarf Tactician skill affects Bolt Throwers. The skill also affects Rangers in the vanilla game but this is not told to players so I've added that to the description.
  • The Vampire Counts Unliving Host skill affects Corpse Carts. Not that useful since if they are in melee, something has gone wrong.
  • The Vampire Counts Creatures of the Night skill affects Varghulfs.
  • The Vampire Counts Evil Souls skill affects Mortis Engines and Black Coachs. The former is an ethereal unit and while one doesn't want to charge with it, the extra speed can help it stay out of combat. Black Coach's were a little harder to place because they are physical units directed by an ethereal Cairn Wraith but I eventually settled on putting it with Evil Souls.
  • The Norscan Beast Slayers skill affects Marauders and Marauders with Great Weapons.
  • The Norscan Wild Beasts skill affects Ice Wolves.
  • The Norscan Hulks of Death skill affects Feral Manticores.
  • Norscan lords can take both Fight or Die! and Stand or Die!
  • The Greenskin Real Savage Boyz and 'Ard Ladz skills affects Trolls and Giants.
  • The Greenskin Riderz skill affects Chariot and Arachnarok Spider units.
  • The Greenskin Goblin Great Shaman has had Da Boyz replaced with Da Gobbos and 'Ard Ladz replaced with Betta Night Sneakin'.
  • Azhag's unique skills have a bug fix that causes them to effect orcs of all sizes instead of the (relatively) smallest variety.
  • Beastmen have had the effects of Beastlord's Lash, Leader of the Raucous Host and Fury of the Herd all bundled into Leader of the Raucous Host. Leader of the Raucous Host also affects Harpies. Beastlord's Lash has been replaced with Slug Skin and Fury of the Herd has been replaced with Crown of Horns.
  • The Beastmen and Chaos Freakish Mutations skill also affects Razorgor Chariots and Feral Manticores. The description has also been changed to include all Monstrous Beasts and Monsters, something it did before but did not say.
  • In relation to the above point, the effect tied to Freakish Mutations will be more accurate for any place it can be gained outside of the Warriors of Chaos and Beastmen.
  • The Warriors of Chaos Chaos Vanguard skill affects Forsaken.
  • Orion can take the Speed of the Hunter skill.
  • Durthu can take the Skin of the Woods and The Skewering Branch skills.
  • Khazrak, Malagor and Morghur can take the Man-bane skill.
  • Malagor can take the Uncanny Senses skill.
  • Morghur can take the Rune of the True Beast skill.
  • King Louen can take the Lance of Bretonnia skill.
  • The Fay Enchantress can take the Aura of the Lady skill.
  • All Dwarf lords, legendary lords and heroes have had the Resolute skill replaced with the better Devastating Charge skill. Dwarf lords, legendary lords and heroes can no longer get Resolute.
  • All Dwarf lords, legendary lords and heroes have had their version of Ancestral Grudge replaced with the Runelord version that gets the 15% bonus with a single skill point. The Runelord version of Ancestral Grudge no longer has a level requirement.
  • Runelords can take both Devastating Charge and Relentless.
  • Grombrindal and Belegar can take the Obdurate skill.
  • Volkmar and Arch Lectors can get the Righteous Fury skill.
  • Helman Ghorst has Lord of the Scourge and Thrall Master skills at level 1 by default and can upgrade them further.

@bluemoon Yes. It's what allows Wulfrik, Throgg and generic Marauder Chieftains to take both Fight or Die and Stand or Die.

Hello. First, thank you so much for still working on an old game while most have moved to the newer ones. I have subscribed to most of your mods as they're are well thought out. I noticed that almost all the tables are renamed from their original name to red_skill which is as it should be except for the data_no_ table inside the main db/character_skill_nodes_skill_locks_tables folder. The original data_no_ has 66 items and yours has 60 entries. The 6 missing entries from yours are the 3 Fight or Die! and the 3 Stand or Die! entries. Is this intentional?
