描述
Random New World brings you infinite possibilities with a wide range of randomizations, including realm set up, de jure map, faith and culture placement, traditions and doctrines.
How to use it
  1. Subscribe to the mod.
  2. Enable it in the launcher.
  3. Choose the rules you prefer.
  4. Start the game with any characters or in observer mode.
  5. You will need to wait a bit for the randomization.
  6. If you used government randomization, save and reload the game.
  7. Once everything is done, hit escape and switch character.
  8. I didn't try it in multiplayer, but I would recommend to launch the game in single player, save and host the savegame.
  9. Enjoy!

It is compatible with (almost) every other mod, even total conversions. (It doesn't overwrite any files, only add new ones.)
The only exceptions are doctrine, holy site and innovation randomization, you can try to use them, but I can't guarantee the results.

Makes sense. It would be nice if you could update the mod with some of those quick fixes, but please don't feel pressured to work on those more complicated ones right now.

There are some new mechanics I did not consider during making the mod. There are some things, I can quickly fix, like missing tenets. But how should special areas like China and japan be handled would need serious work.

@Xeniferos What I did was use an AI program to analyze the file and place it in the correct area. Seems to have worked however it appears as other parts of the mod stopped working. So all generated rulers are no longer 6 however religion and culture randomization no longer working. Also some areas/cultures seem to be hardcoded, for instance the Tang dynasty will always rule over China in the 867 start. Appears the mod needs a complete rehaul at this point

There are two places in that file where "rnw_generate_new_count_effect" is found... Which do you change and do you just leave the other intact?

For those who has the same problem as me regarding ruler age FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. GO TO THE WORKSHOP FOLDER 2442026625 -> Common -> scripted_effects

2. IN rnw_realm_setup_scripted_effects YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE rnw_generate_new_count_effect BLOCK FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Bug on minimum rulers age... once you set the minimum age, every single ruler will have the same age across the world map.. once the mod is dead and there is no modder available to keep working on it.. partial RIP

The mod works for the most part, but I've been having weird errors with it not using 100% of faiths despite me telling it to, and of course not adding the new faith and culture traits into the randomization pool. China won't shatter properly either, and the estates don't seem to go away.

Okay, after some tests and reinstalling, the crash was entirely my own fault, I f-ed around in the game files(I know, I thought the changes were minor, they weren't). The crash wasn't this mod's fault, it was entirely my own, sorry.
